Hope Community Church Signage
LAYOUT, SIGNAGE & ILLUSTRATION
I was tasked with creating new signage for HCC's interior. These sketches show my initial brainstorming. HCC wanted signage that was clear, clean, communicating its message without distraction, was contemporary, lasted a long time, was simple, and with a high amount of contrast.
I worked closely with HCC staff to reach a creative solution they loved and the signs were printed, mounted, and installed. Working within HCC's existing brand guidelines I used burgundy and white to maximize contrast increasing legibility. For HCC's maps, I redrew each floor of each building by hand, including only what was necessary. Every detail in the maps was thought through to continue a simple, clean, and modern aesthetic.
In the bottom right of each piece of signage was Hope's signature Quatrefoil. This Quatrefoil is a signifier reminding visitors that they are in the right place. Not all pieces of signage are included in these photos whether because of duplications or because of the repetitive nature of signs compared to another. To see even more pieces of signage in their digital formats the last image in this gallery has two amalgamations of signage I created to see in greater detail.
