Notes of Eden
BRANDING, TYPOGRAPHY,
ICONOGRAPHY, LAYOUT
Florence Craig started her own small business and came to me to help with its initial branding and execution. These sketches show my initial brainstorming for each part of the brand I worked on.

Notes of Eden's logo was inspired by Chinese stamps including the red for Notes of Eden's main logos. The art on the front of the cards is also inspired by Chinese watercolors and calligraphy. The stamp motif in the logo relates to its product as a card to be sent. The colors for Notes of Eden are grounded in earth tones to reflect the nature of the product intended to be placed in the earth. The typography with ink bleed on every character, the typewriter body copy, and the handwritten calligraphy font all reflect the hand-made aesthetic of the brand as a whole as well as its inspiration from Chinese stamps and watercolor. The layout is formed in such a way for legibility and to allow each piece of typography, illustration, and image to be separate from one another and yet still be cohesive.
To see all the materials created for Notes of Eden at the end of these photos is an amalgamation of almost everything created for Notes of Eden.
